Week 14 NFL Picks

Hey everybody, I've had a busy weekend with Christmas parties and going to Flyers-Devils tonight, (more on that later this week in the Fly-By) but I am slowly catching up on post. I've decided to skip Fantasy sports this week. The top ten most memorable Flyers games will come later today. Right now here are my football picks for week 14.

So far I am 0-1 after the Steelers yet again looked stupid this week. Last week was actually my 4th best week of the year, let's see if I can repeat my success this week.

Last week's record 11-5
Season Record 124-69

New Orleans 38 Atlanta 13
The Falcons are slowly falling otu of the playoff picture and this game against New Orleans should cement their fate. However, if the Saints fail to show up ahgain, maybe, just maybe, the Falcons pull out an upset.

NY Jets 20 Tampa Bay 7
Sanchez or no Sanchez, there isn't a shot in the world for the Bucs to pull this one out. Should be a low scoring, grind it out game, but expect the Jet ground game to take center stage.

New England 20 Carolina 17
The Panthers need to win out and they won't go down to the Pats without a fight. New England's sloppy play will carry over this week and only the home advnatage will give them the edge here. Possible upset alert looming.

Minnesota 27 Cincinnati 9
The Vikings will come out of their loss in Arizona fighting angry and show the Bengals what happens when they play a real good team. Once the Cincy run game is shut down, the Bengals won't have a chance.

Buffalo 23 Kansas City 6
The Chiefs seem to regressing every week, while the Bills seem to be improving, out side of last week's poor showing in Toronto. I like to see Fred Jackson run up a trom in this one.

Baltimore 21 Detroit 16
Be warned, the ravens have not looked hot lately and the Lions have nothing to lose at this point. Baltimore pulls out a tight win, but the Lions prove that the Ravens defense simply isn't the same as it once was.

Green Bay 34 Chicago 10
This one is going to sting for Chicago fans. The Pack must win to stay atop the wild card race, and they will do just that by rolling over their archrival on the road. This could be a real stinger for the Bears.

Houston 27 Seattle 10
The Texans, week after week, seem to find ways to lose. I really can't see them finding a way to fall short agaisnt the Seahawks. Must win scenerios for both teams, the loser's season is over.

Indianapolis 34 Denver 14
Listen, the Broncos are NOT anywhere near the team the Colts are. Denver simply cannot beat Indinapolis, especially when visiting Hoosier country. Peyton MAnning and company should tear apart that Denver defense.

Jacksonvile 21 Miami 14
This is, in my mind, the game of the week, and yet only 1.7% of the country will get to see it. In any case, the Jaguars will pull out a win in a home game where most of the crowd will likely be Miami fans. JAcksonville has played hard this year, and should win to help their playoff chances.

Oakland 14 Washington 6
Last week's loss to New Orleans was the dagger in the back for the Redskins. Playing in Oakland isn't easy for any tram, especially a team lacking in confidence like Washington. Oakland has certainly looked better the past few weeks and should pull out a win here.

Tennessee 27 St. Louis 0
This one will be ugly. Expect Chris Johnson to put on a running spectacular against the Rams and for the Titans defense to pitch its first shutout this year. It'll look like the '08 Titans all over again.

San Diego 35 Dallas 17 - UPSET PICK
Yeah, that's right, San Diego is the underdog in this one, somehow. The Chargers are playing much better football than the Cowboys right now and are clearly the #2 team in the AFC behind Indy. This is the week the Boys lose their hold on first place, sadly.

Philadelphia 22 NY Giants 20
This is going to be one hell of an intense battle in the Meadowlands. The Eagles wiull step up in the clutch here though and pull out a win, which will give them a huge lift in the division race. I just don't see the Giants pulling anything out here.

Arizona 35 San Francisco 27
Get ready for fireworks by the bay. I can see A Kurt Warner and Alex Smith scoring display being put on here. Unfortunatly, the Cardinals will get the last laugh and clinch the NFC West in the process.
