Hey guys, time for my own personal fantasy sports update. Now what this segment will be is an update on my own personal fantasy sports teams, NOT a who starts, who sits, type of deal. I will give you updates on how I'm doing in my fantasy sports endeavors.
Fantasy Baseball
We are approaching the beginning of the off-season period, which starts on Tuesday. I'm continuing to look to trade away long-time catcher Jorge Posada as I prepare to draft Matt Wieters with the first overall pick (something I'm 99.9999% sure I will do.) Other than that, the IBL playoffs are underway, with Monrovia taking a quick 2-0 lead on Spokane in the NC Wild Card series and the AC Wild Card series between Buffalo and Chicago set to begin soon.

Fantasy Football
I head into my week 12 matchup this week looking to clinch a playoff spot. I currently hold a 7-4 record, going against division rival Vincenzo who is at 6-5. A win and I'm in, a loss and then things get a little interesting. Vincenzo has a very dominant lineup, and his loss to me week 1 was by far his worst week all season. I don't expect to get away so easily again. Here are the starting lineups for this week.
QB- Matt Schaub vs. Matt Hasselbeck
RB- Steve Slaton vs. Chris Johnson
RB- Rashard Mendenhall vs. Joseph Addai
RB/WR- Reggie Bush vs. Mike Bell
WR- Wes Welker vs. Anquan Boldin
WR- Steve Smith vs. Donald Driver
WR- Kevin Walter vs. Nate Burelson
TE- Kellen Winslow vs. Dustin Keller
K- Lawerence Tynes vs. Josh Brown
D/ST- Cowboys vs. Ravens
All together, I'm going to need bad days from Chris Johnson and Anquan Boldin to have a shot to win, as well as solid games from my running backs. Otherwise, my week 13 game is going to mean a lot more than I anticipate.
Fantasy Tennis
The post-season ITF points boosting tour continued in Toyota, Japan this week, for a $75,000 tournament. Unfrotunatly, a time difference mess up that I made cost me both my singles and odubles torunament with Ryan.
In singles, I was able to breeze past my first round opponent from Croatia, Toma Dulko. It was the first time I had beaten him in three matches together, and I had jsut lost to him in Phoenix the previous week.
The next day, Wednesday was my scre up, as I didn't realize the matches started at 9 PM Eastern on Tuesday, not 10 PM as I thought. Due to this, I had picked two matches too late and it cost me two matches. Ryan and I lost our first round matchup against the Chinese pairing of Wang Xi and Sun So-Choo. In singles, I also fell to qualfier David Lobeo, a newbie to the tour.
NExt week I hope to avenge these losses in playing the next ITF tournament on my run, in Prerov Czech Republic. Meanwhile, by next week I should have some sort of preliminary schedule set for myself for the 2010 Tour Season. I have decided to play a fourth season of fantasy tennis, but may only play a paritial schedule next year and play on Premier tournaments, Grand Slams, and smaller U.S. tournaments. I'll post my schedule once it is finialized.
